The Sussex County Clerk's Office has a limited number of records involving vital records. This is because vital records, including birth, marriage and death certificates, no longer are maintained at the county level, but are kept by the respective town in which the birth, marriage or death took place. Naturalization and immigration records are kept at the state archives.
The Sussex County Clerk Records Room, however, does have older records on file for genealogists and others to view, including birth, death & marriage certificates, as well as naturalization petitions. To learn more, select a topic from the menu at right.
